It has been proven that fear for their beloved pet's safety is a key reason many women delay leaving their abuser as most can't take their pets with them when seeking refuge. In this film we wanted to show the reality of leaving with pets and the many no's these women are faced with, encouraging New Zealanders to donate so Pet Refuge can be a yes.
